Hi there! My name is J.J. Thompson. I just
wanted to let you know how wonderful your site is, and what a fine quality product you
have. Three of my friends and I, John, Aaron, and Angelo have been buying seed
from you for 2 years now, and we are so happy with the results. We will not buy anywhere
else.
Your timely delivery and helpful tips, along with the growers guide and the flags are
greatly appreciated by us new growers. We are growing around the Allegheny Mountains
in Western Pennsylvania and have had great germination rates with your seed.
Three years ago we bought cheaper seed from Pacific Rim Ginseng, and we had a terrible
turnout. Only about a third of the seeds came up, if that, and it was on a really nice
plot of ground.
Anyway, thanks for all your help and tips. Maybe sometime when you aren't too busy
we could take a drive up and meet you in person and see your place. We'd love to
meet you, and show you pictures of your seeds thriving over here in PA.

Michael, I ordered some
Glacial seed last fall & had some excellent germination
rates from it this spring. I made four more beds for fall
planting & will be ordering a couple of pounds of seed from
you. I wanted to ask you what the market for roots looks like
this year? I read the attack on you from sylvan , & ill have
to say that I agree with you! I use to dig wild seng & set
it in prepared beds & at one time I had several beds of
wild. This seng was all gathered locally & when put
together it would not produce fertile seed. My mother in-law
lives 100 miles from me & has a large woods behind her
house, while squirrel hunting I discovered a nice stand of wild
& dug the largest plants & mixed it with the plants
I already had at home & in two years I had all kinds of
fertile seed. There is no doubt in my mind that cross
breading develops a much better seed & im sticking to
glacial as the results I received this spring says it all. As
I write this I've had know problems with damping off & I
still have seed coming up (it started in early April & was
up slightly earlier than the native) im growing wild simulated
& have not sprayed any chemicals at all. I've got a rather
large stand of gum trees on my south west corner, the shade is
great there. What do you think about growing seng in gum stands?
Will the gum balls cause any problems?

If you successfully blend 6 or more strains of a plant together
, you come up with a new variety of plant and you have the right to name it. This is
what we have done with Our Ginseng Seeds. Therefore We have named our Variety of
Ginseng Seeds "Glacial Gold" Ginseng Seeds. "Glacial Gold"
is our trade-mark, it'd the brand of our Company, and it's a serious
way to get these plants back to their original State. So little cross-breeding
is being done. The wild plants out here are so scarce and few and far between
they're breeding amongst themselves. Any unisexual plant or animal that inter-breeds
with itself, creates a genetic clone. Each succeeding generation is shortening
the life span of the ginseng plant. Plants that should be living 65 or 70 years are
lucky if they can get to live to be 10 years old. Our goal is to cross breed the
heartiest ginseng seed available and create a vibrant ginseng seed that is more tolerant

TIP'S"
Plant early, especially the further North you are. This
gives the seeds a chance to become climatically adapted to the environment that they are
being planted in. This also gives the seeds a chance to be absorbing the nutrients
from the soil that they are going to be raised in. When purchasing your seeds, be
especially wary of seeds with dried out hulls. The embryos may be alive, but your
germination factor will be greatly reduced. Naturally all of our seeds are
float tested and decontaminated before shipment. Quality must be number one.
Our future markets are going to demand it.
Suggested commercial woods planting is
about 40 Pounds to the Acre. You should be realizing about 10 pounds of
seed back for each pound planted in 4 years and about 10 pounds of roots for each pound of
seed planted in 7 years. If you take care of your plants you might do twice that.
We guarantee no dried out hulls. The hull is
what the embryo feeds on as it develops
