A Book Review
Ginseng Growers Guide By; Michael Hunter

Reviewed; by Mary Hite

This book, "Ginseng Growers Guide", written by Michael Hunter, I find, to be a very excellent Guide to growing top Quality Woods Grown Ginseng. Packed with information, the author has kept it short and sweet. It show you the basics and gets right to the point. We can and should use, not abuse, our forests and at the same time, save an endangered species while making a nice profit.

I feel he is helping balance our forests and not only saving them for the next generation - he is enhancing them! Many young people never see the forest as a gift to man-kind, something to be cherished. The author gets you to become involved in a humanitarian way - take what you need and leave the rest improved!!! Wow!

The book also is a Guide to Growing Ginseng in almost any environment, using artificial shade, on a small scale or a commercial level. Easy to read, informative and especially interesting. A must read Guide to learning about planting Ginseng, Forestry, seed history, when and where to plant, site preparation, balancing our forests and the stewardship incentive program. This book should be at the top of your list when beginning to look into growing Ginseng.

I further suggest you visit the author's Web Site at www.ginseng-seed.com. If interested in growing Goldenseal, which requires the same growing conditions as Ginseng, check out Goldenseal on this same Web Site.
